Dr. Dagnachew Tamrat Belete is an Anatomic Pathologist and Assistant Professor at Addis Ababa University. He currently serves as the Head of the Department of Pathology at Tikur Anbessa Specialized Teaching Hospital, overseeing both clinical and academic activities under the College of Health Sciences at the University. Dr. Dagnachew’s primary research interest lies in surgical pathology.

He earned his Doctor of Medicine (MD) in Medicine from Addis Ababa University (2008–2014) and completed his Specialization in Anatomic Pathology at the same institution (2016–2018).

In terms of experience, Dr. Dagnachew has been serving as an Assistant Professor of Pathology since January 2019 and was a Lecturer at Addis Ababa University from January 2015 to January 2019. His PhD project focuses on the biology and clinicopathologic characteristics of colorectal cancer in Sub-Saharan Africa.
